- Spacing between the built-in title and close action remains at least 4 CSS px when the root font or gap scale decreases, preserving larger public overrides. Toolbar structure, complete panel names and interaction remain unchanged.
- Explicit name/category titles and demo details use existing Frame single-line composition and Text truncation with full-text access. Name/email details retain their two-line information structure.

- When title is omitted, the toolbar title and panel accessible name follow LocaleProvider. An explicit title, including an empty string, and business content remain unchanged.

- 2026-09-28: The built-in Indicator now uses the full edge as its hit area. Removed special handling for transparent colors and unified normal and hover appearance.

- 2026-09-21: Unified the usage guide, source property table, and Site / AI reading entry points. Documentation only; component behavior is unchanged.

- **SP-Init.31 / v1.4.0 (2026-08-25)**: The full-height left border remains draggable for resizing. Removed the visible short resize bar; a transparent Indicator interaction layer still handles pointer, keyboard, ARIA, and scrollbar avoidance.
- **SP-Init.30 / v1.3.2 (2026-08-09)**: Adapted to Button bare now defaulting to 100%. Built-in icon-only toolbar actions explicitly use `emphasis="muted"` to retain their subdued appearance.

- **SP-Init.29 / v1.3.1 (2026-07-20)**: Fixed SidePanel disappearing when switching from a floating panel to embedded preview because the Portal branch changed. It now migrates a stable rendering host while retaining the content subtree.
- **SP-Init.28 / v1.3.0 (2026-07-13)**: Established SidePanel-Demo’s implementation as the default embedded-layout protocol. Defined “floating dock + pushing specified content” semantics, page/component ownership, selection of pushed versus covered areas, synchronized-motion invariants, a complete fixed-rail pattern, and a single source of truth for height and viewport spacing.
- **SP-Init.27 (2026-07-13)**: Changed the embedded border from an inset box shadow to a real 1px border, fixing missing lines at rounded edges. SidePanel-Demo’s coordinated rail became viewport-fixed with 16px top, right, and bottom spacing, so long pages no longer enlarge the visible bottom gap.
- **SP-Init.26 (2026-07-13)**: Compared RareUI’s site and open-source code and changed coordinated embedded motion to a persistent rail `transform` plus main-content `padding-right`, starting in the same state. Added `inlineMotionOwner="layout"` to prevent SidePanel from moving twice. Retained SnowUI’s critical damping instead of restoring RareUI rebound.
- **SP-Init.25 (2026-07-13)**: Embedded mode adopted the same entrance/exit preset and exit presence as the floating panel. Added a page-level layout-motion helper. The first SidePanel-Demo used a synchronized grid rail to push Table and reduced page padding from 40px to 16px for more table width. SP-Init.26 later moved to RareUI-equivalent coordinated padding + transform.
- **SP-Init.24 (2026-07-13)**: Added localization for component UI copy. The default was `zh-CN` at this version; a parent `LocaleProvider` could switch or override fixed-toolbar labels.
- **SP-Init.23 (2026-07-13)**: Built-in icon-only Buttons in the top and bottom toolbars now embed Tooltips within SidePanel, reusing `ariaLabel` for hint text.
- **SP-Init.22 (2026-07-13)**: Fixed invisible backdrop blur by moving `.snowui-quick-action-panel` from an inner `aside` under a transform ancestor to the motion shell that actually moves. The shell uses `Background/3 + blur(40px)`; the inner layer becomes transparent and only holds content, scrolling, and interactions.
- **SP-Init.21 (2026-07-12)**: Default movement spring changed to a no-rebound comparison: stiffness 300 / damping 34.6410161514 (critical damping) / mass 1 / duration 500ms. The prior Rare UI reference baseline of 300 / 30 / 1 / 500ms remains recorded and can be restored precisely.
- **SP-Init.20 (2026-07-12)**: Fixed exit appearing stuck near the end. With a 16px gap to the viewport’s right edge, the old `x: 100%` endpoint left 16px visible. Both entrance and exit now travel `calc(100% + var(--padding-4))`, fully clearing the viewport before unmount.
- **SP-Init.19 (2026-07-12)**: Compared Rare UI’s site and open-source library. Frame default `MOVE_*` changed to a high-damping spring with the same parameters (stiffness 300 / damping 30 / mass 1). SidePanel returned to its normal 500ms travel window, removing the 5× debugging duration. Frame CSS lifecycle and motion-engine both run through sampled spring motion.
- **SP-Init.18 (2026-07-12)**: Frame default `MOVE_*` temporarily used `cubic-bezier(0.2, 0, 0, 1)` with a 5× observation duration. SP-Init.19 replaced it with the Rare UI-parameter spring. The shared panel appearance was defined as `Background/3 + blur(40px)`.
- **SP-Init.17 (2026-07-12)**: Entrance and exit moved the outer motion shell as a whole. The inner panel, toolbars, scrollbar, and Indicator no longer carry the root transform. `SIDE_PANEL_*` reused Frame default movement timing, temporarily extended to 5× duration for observation.
- **SP-Init.16 (2026-07-12)**: Entrance/exit easing changed to linear. `motion-engine` fixed percentage translation units so `100%` is no longer emitted as `100%px`.
- **SP-Init.16b (2026-07-12)**: Reverted changes to Frame default generic easing/scale and SidePanel `transform-origin` / `transition:none`, while keeping the translation-unit bug fix.
- **SP-Init.15 (2026-07-12)**: Removed opacity from entrance/exit, leaving horizontal movement only. Switching previews by clicking a table row keeps the panel open, avoiding an exit followed by re-entry.
- **SP-Init.14 (2026-07-12)**: Floating-panel motion now slides in and out from the right. Clicking outside closes it by default; content scrolls independently.
- **SP-Init.13 (2026-07-12)**: Read-only mode has no bottom toolbar by default. `editable` shows it automatically, and custom bottom-toolbar props can also show it; the bottom scroll mask remains even without a toolbar.
- **SP-Init.12 (2026-07-12)**: The top toolbar is fixed and cannot be replaced. A Snippet can replace the entire bottom toolbar group. Cancel defaults to `borderless`, Save to `gray`, and `topActions` was removed.
- **SP-Init.11 (2026-07-12)**: Left-edge resizing sits 4px from the left edge; the hit band now comes from Indicator’s full-height line protocol.
- **SP-Init.10 (2026-07-12)**: Embedded mode gained a default 0.5px Black/10% inner border (`box-shadow: inset`).
- **SP-Init.9 (2026-07-12)**: Removed the shadow in embedded mode; height supports `--snowui-side-panel-height-override`.
- **SP-Init.8 (2026-07-12)**: Separated the top-toolbar title from the close X. The title is read-only and fixed to Black/20%.
- **SP-Init.1 (2026-07-08)**: Added `SidePanel`.
