AccordionItem changelog

v1.3.3 (2026-10-23)

  • Title spacing remains at least 4 CSS px when the root font or gap scale decreases, preserving larger public overrides. The default indicator host is at least 12px, matching the existing icon minimum. Graphics, proportions, toggle state and body spacing remain unchanged.

  • Explicit title examples use Frame single-line composition and Text full-text access. Expanded prose retains its original wrapping.

  • 2026-09-28: Only the title toggles the Item. The hover background was removed. The default icon keeps its shape and rotates into ×; the old minus mode remains optional. Content now defaults to the same font size as the title.

  • 2026-09-21: Unified the usage guide, source property table, and Site / AI reading entry points. Documentation only; component behavior is unchanged.

v1.3.2 (2026-09-02)

  • Expanded the per-property descriptions, default fallbacks, and usage boundaries to match the existing source. Runtime behavior is unchanged.

v1.3.1 (2026-08-28)

  • The default content text color now adapts to the theme through var(--black-40); the title still inherits the host foreground color.

  • Added --snowui-accordion-content-color-override for local content-color overrides.

v1.3.0 (2026-08-28)

  • Per-Item title hover changed to the single Continuous Hover Background owned by the parent Accordion. On expanded Items it covered the whole Item and changed with content height.

  • Clicking noninteractive areas of expanded content could collapse the Item. Links, Buttons, form controls, interactive roles, and editable content were explicitly excluded.

  • Retained ordinary title-hover fallback when continuousHover=false.

v1.2.5 (2026-08-28)

  • Restored the standardized title hover background using the shared snowui-hoverable overlay at 4% in Light and 10% in Dark, excluding disabled Items. Since v1.3.0 this served only as fallback for continuousHover=false.

v1.2.4 (2026-08-17)

  • The three-slot title/content Host depends on the fixed order of shared layers: the Frame direction base sits below Auto Layout, keeping the trailing indicator in its own rightmost track while component gap can still override the shared default.

v1.2.3 (2026-08-16)

Motion fixes

  • After the Frame root transform / transition gained a single low-priority outlet, AccordionItem root motion uses the component input channel. Content height, padding, and opacity transitions plus default indicator rotation remain owned by their respective nodes, independent of CSS injection order.

v1.2.2 (2026-06-18)

Motion adjustments

  • Content height, padding, and opacity changes now use RESIZE_MOTION injected by the parent Accordion, with transitions disabled under the system reduced-motion preference.

v1.2.1 (2026-05-31)

Style adjustments

  • The default trailing + / - indicator retains Black/100% as its color source, uses opacity: 0.4 when inactive, and returns to opacity: 1 on hover, matching StyleSpec.md §2.4.5.

v1.2.0 (2026-05-25)

Breaking changes

  • AccordionItem became a single-item container that declares title and content internally with Frame as="title" / Frame as="content".

Style adjustments

  • Background, corner radius, and dividers belong to the outer Item. Content only collapses in height and fades in opacity.

v1.1.0 (2026-05-25)

Style adjustments

  • The default trailing icon is now an internally drawn + / -; the entire icon rotates on expansion/collapse, and hover changes only its color.

  • Title and content both use Frame’s three-slot row layout. Content collapse now animates height and opacity.

v1.0.0 (2026-05-24)

New features

  • Added AccordionItem as the shared container for Accordion title and content.

Expanded-height measurement

The default expansion target is the content’s natural height plus its expanded bottom padding. Natural-height measurement excludes padding currently being animated, avoiding a reset of the target on every frame. When single-selection mode switches between equal-height content, opening and closing follow the same height curve without shrinking then rebounding. Explicit maximum-height overrides still use their original value.
