FlowText changelog
2026-09-21: Unified the usage guide, source property table, and Site / AI reading entry points. Documentation only; component behavior is unchanged.
v2.0.5 (2026-09-12)
Temporary character masks now use the shared manager for size observation, avoiding a separate native Observer per component. Character motion and mask geometry remain unchanged.
v2.0.4 (2026-09-09)
When content changes, retained characters also animate their color. Per-character color and return timing are distributed across the full target text; retained prefixes and suffixes no longer fade together early. Character movement rules are unchanged.
v2.0.3 (2026-09-09)
Fixed initial wheel positioning, which could lay digits out horizontally and make them disappear after clipping. Only the current digit occupies the single-character layout slot; other digits are absolutely positioned in the same wheel.
Added a real Demo screen-recording regression procedure that also checks the visible digit range and single-character slot width.
v2.0.2 (2026-09-08)
Reduced the default main animation to 550ms, matching NumericText’s per-digit timing. The demo’s normal speed now uses the component default directly.
Fixed a stale digit axis when entering a negative number from zero or changing direction after rest. Incrementing or decrementing by one no longer detours through nine positions.
Updated TextMotion-Demo input handling so the increment/decrement buttons continue numeric calculations after manual input.
v2.0.1 (2026-09-08)
Digit wheels and text entrances/exits now support continuous retargeting. They retain the current trajectory and direction, measure masks in batches, and no longer poll each digit.
v2.0.0 (2026-06-16)
Removed separate digit and ordinary-character runtimes; all content now uses the shared character-reassembly capability.
Character entrance and exit now reproduce the vertical digit flow of
number-flow-mainand AnimatePresence opacity appearance.scaleYdeformation now starts immediately with movement. Addedtransition.deformDurationandtransition.deformEasingto control its duration and easing independently. Each animated character now gets a temporary stationary mask window, reusing NumberFlow’s mask gradient, width, and position. The absolutely positioned window does not alter the character’s layout width; static characters do not keep a permanent mask.
Scrolling distance now uses an experimental
100% - 0.22em overlapnegative spacing. The mask uses an expanded viewport outside layout, with glyph offset returned to the real character origin, so narrow characters are not consumed by NumberFlow’s horizontal or vertical gradient.Numbers, timers, and countdowns retain shared trend, ordering, and modulo semantics. For changed digits, the FlowText animator temporarily renders a continuous wheel matching NumberFlow’s
--wheel-vtrack, with a stronger ease-out that moves quickly at first and slows toward the end.TextMotion-Demo Slow Mode can scale FlowText’s vertical flow, opacity, and stagger proportionally through
transition.
